Comments: Yes!!! I ride a Vmax. It's a 98 Black Beauty. It's Name is "LOBITO". I've had it for 2 months now, and it is AWESOME!!! I think I've taken it to it's max as a stock bike... You know, over 140 mph, up until the shakes scare you enough to start slowing down. Left the V-boost open, etc, etc. It is time to go the next level.

I'm in the proccess of determining what would be the best project to work on with UFO (Ultra Fast Objects.) Hopefully, after some time and money, we can come up with an even greater, meaner, Vmax.

One could always buy a Hayabusa, or any other super fast bike, but Hey!!! The attitude a V-max has is just extreme, is just COOL...

Mods include Corbin seat, Hindle 4-into-1, front fork brace(superbrace), K&N air filter, needle & jet kit, factory backrest, and detachable Tracy wind faring (only for the long hauls). Gisteravond de Max voor de laatste keer op de bank gehad voor de fijnafstelling. Betrof een geremde autobank.
163 KW aan het achterwiel (gelijk aan 227 PK) bij 9500 toeren. Topsnelheid op bank 330 km/uur (niet te rijden dus, want harder dan 280 gaat echt niet met z'n ding) Heb in het totaal 5 runs gemaakt met een paar keer middengebiedvermogen om de injectie af te stellen. Resultaat: een nieuwe achterband finaal aan gort !!
(band kwam vol blaren te staan waarna er hele stukken afvlogen. )
Nu nog een paar kleine naar voren gekomen probleempjes oplossen en als het goed is de gehele zomer rijden !!)

Comments: Just got Two Brothers Racing slip ons for my 98 vmax. My max
sounds like a fine tuned v8 engine with a deep rumble at
idle. Throttle response is better and also needed no re-
jetting. Now I just start max up just for the hell of it
just to hear her run. One of the cans has some movement
cause it does not fit really tight. Other than that i'm
pretty happy with it overall. It's a little on the loud side
but that makes it more fun than ever.

Max and I have now gone over 114,600 miles and are still going! There may be fancier and faster bikes out there now, but there is no bike like a V-MAX! Mine is a 1985 yellow open beauty with very loud supertrapps and steel brake lines, an own build rvs bagage holder (the racers between you will laugh now)also I ve got two cowsleather bagagebags. Comments: I have been driving a 1985 vmax since 1994,stage 7,a 17 inch GSX-R wheel,GSX-R front mudgard,Brouwer Rear seat and several other things.
It's engine has been completely revised ( try driving 100 miles an hour en than get a banged engine,nice)and now has 124 bhp at the rearwheel.
Don't think i will ever sell it, we have been through too many problems and nice times.
I think you have the best Max page i have seen and believe me i have seen a few.

When i was 12 years old my dad bought an 85' Vmax. It was my passion from the time he bought it and it still is. We travelled all over the U.S. and when i was 22 I finally got my own Vmax. It was my pride and joy. Well the dream came to a hault July 4th. 1994 when my Vmax was stolen from my motel while i slept during a vacation in Fla. My Dad doesn't ride any more and i aquired his Vmax. It has set up a long time and has alot of problems. Comments: Hello from America! I'm 28 yrs old and I recently (2 weeks ago) purchased a 1989 Vmax w/ 11,000 original miles. It's very beautiful, aren't they all? It's been "blacked" out, wheels, signals, drag bars, etc. It has a Jet-hot coated Vortex Holeshot
4-into-1 header and a stage7 kit with the Vboost intact. I sold my '91 FZR1000 to get this and am very pleased as of yet. I don't know much about these yet, so feel free to offer any advice you may have. I will send pictures very soon. Thanks for such a wonderful and intuitive website, Ingo!

Comments: I drive a '98 Max with SuperTrapp exhaust, a K&N filtercharger, and a K&N jet kit. I have specs to show a peak horsepower of 171.6, and an average of 160.4 horses after my first 3 runs. I don't have a 1/4 mile time or speed yet, but as soon as I get something solid I'll get it on here.

Comments: i own an 85 v-max and would not trade it for any bike in the world have owned many but really love the look of the v-max and just cringe at the power this thing has. I have done some modifications to the bike i have made it look more like a cruiser than a sportbike longer curved rear fender (made by me!) lots of chrome and accessories. Now have forty-thousand miles on my max and still wouldn't think of getting rid of it.

Comments: Took ownership of a '98 Vmax last month. Rode a GSXR before and it doesn't come close to the personality, looks and power of the Max. Only upgrades so far are frame, fork brace and aluminum fan kit. Future mods are drag bar, jet kit, exhaust(probably Kerker) and braced swingarm. Been lusting after a Max for over 10 years. Dreams do come true.
